Ogon likes to be planted in full sun, in moist fertile soil. It can also be used as an aquatic plant by being planted in shallow water, in baskets, and survives best in cool water. Plant Acorus in reliably moist borders or boggy soil at the edge of ponds. Slender Sweet Flag can be planted to a maximum depth of 5cm (2") below water level. Choose a position in full sun. Acorus plants require little maintenance. Tidy foliage that has died back in Autumn by trimming to just above the water surface.
