John Guest recommends Speedfit reducer fittings for joining copper or plastic pipes. By joining two Speedfit Push-Fit fittings, a swivel-type connection may be made while lowering the line size thanks to the smaller spigot end. Simply fully engage the Push-Fit fitting with the pipe and lock it in place by rotating the plastic nut counter clockwise. To unmount the connection, manually unlock the nut, push the collet in the direction of the Push-Fit fitting's body, and then pull the pipe to release it. The John Guest Speedfit reducer Push-Fit fitting may be installed up to 40 percent faster than conventional techniques, and it is simpler to use in limited locations because it does not require hot work or special tools.
