A useful companion glossary for anyone reading or teaching The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin.  There are over 150 entries of terms that can't commonly be found in a high school dictionary.  Included in the introduction is a brief essay on the spelling of words in Franklin's time, and background on the time period and Franklin's life  that will assist readers in understanding the book. To accommodate the different editions of the Autobiography, words are listed in the order they appear in the book, with an alphabetical word index in the back.
