Indeed, even with humans, dogs, and felines (species that have been comprehensively examined), precise knowledge on almost all supplement requirements is a long way off. So how can we possibly learn about the food requirements of the vast majority of bird species imprisoned? We just cannot!! We should base our art of caring for our avian charges on existing research and make objective decisions concerning unknowns.
