Is the iPhone 13 worth it?
The iPhone 13 was made available to the public in September 2022 with the choice of 4 different models: the iPhone 13 mini, the iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 pro and the iPhone 13 Pro max. the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 are Apple’s flagship phones which are more affordable while the iPhone 13 pro and the iPhone 13 Pro max are at the top-end of the budget.
Currently, the iPhone 13 is made available for £779 with 128GB of storage, £879 for 256GB of data or a whopping £1079 for 512GB of data.
The iPhone 13 is nearly identical in design to that of the iPhone 12, featuring a glass back, flat edges and aluminium enclosure. Currently, the iPhone 13 is available in pink, midnight black, red, green, blue, and starlight silver/gold and has a 6.1 inch screen.
All 4 models are powered with an upgraded A15 bionic chip which is reported to be one of the most powerful mobile processors on the market. The A15 holds a 6-core CPU and a 4-core GPU but now with a 16-core neural engine for machine learning (8 cores more than the previous A14 chipset). This means the iPhone 13’s CPU is 50% faster than its competitors and the A15’s GPU is 20% faster, this makes for a more immersive and natural feel with your phone with every motion at your fingertips.
The iPhone 13 holds an OLED panel and the Super Retina XDR displays are 28% brighter than that in the iPhone 12, standing at 800 nit, it makes the screen visible in direct sunlight. The resolution for the iPhone 13 stands at 2532 x 1170 megapixels with 460 pixels per inch.
The dual-cameras are arranged diagonally, opposed to vertically as seen in the iPhone 12. The wide angle camera gathers 47% more light than its predecessor thanks to its lager camera with 1.7μm – pixels. This allows for a better cinematic and photographic experience where photos can be edited in their updated in-camera software.
The battery life on a whole is much better than its previous models thanks to the bigger battery and A15 bionic chip. Although, the charging speed remains the same as its previous models with the same 20w charger.
