The Vanos unit is designed to vary the timing of the engine's exhaust and intake valves to improve engine performance. Kit can be installed by any competent mechanic or DIYer. No special tools are required, other than your fuel pump pulley tool. Cam locking tool is not required. The long term solution is to use "Vanos seal kit" to replace the o-rings with our o-rings.
